Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has reflected on his impressive debut season for United and had dubbed it as 'a massive learning curve' for him. The 19-year old has appeared 32 times for The Red Devils this term and admitted he didn't expect to play so many games.

his promising career.
The 19-year old established Scotland international has appeared 32 times for The Red Devils this term and has admitted that he didn't expect to play so much. "It may have been a disappointing season for the club but it has been one massive learning curve for me, which should stand me in good stead for the rest of my career." said the Scot. "I have just tried to perform to a level where the manager feels he can trust me and not be scared to play me in the big games." he added. Saturday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea marked another inspiring game for the youngster that matched the talent of Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard. Fletcher was also instrumental in the FA Cup semi-final victory of Arsenal and gave The Gunners' captain Patrick Vieria a run for his money in the middle of the park. |
