O'Neill Exposes Solskjaer Interest

Solskjaer has been struggling with injury and his fitness isn't what it use to be, however Martin O'Neill has admitted that he still 'fancies' him as a player.

"I have not requested anything about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer," said O'Neill.

"Of course I fancy Solskjaer as a player, but there are a lot of footballers we are interested in."

"But whether we can afford them is a different matter."

With Parkhead legend Henrik Larsson set to part company with the Scottish outfit in the summer, the prospect of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a mouthwatering one as O'Neill looks to fill the giant boots of the Swede. Former Footballer of the Year Rivaldo is another candidate.
