Darren Fletcher to Captain Scotland

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has capped his marvelous debut season for the Red Devils with the honour of being captain for his country, Scotland.

Manager Berti Vogts is confident the 20-year-old will do a great job in captaining the Scots in Thursday evening's international friendly against Estonia in Tallinn and has backed his decision to make the youngster skipper.

"Darren Fletcher is a guy in a key position in my team and a key player for the World Cup qualifiers." the German admitted.

"He is the future of Scotland and also the future Scotland captain - and I think he is the future captain of Manchester United."

Regular captain Barry Ferguson along with vice captain Christian Dailly are both absent for the game and Vogts has picked Fletcher over Heart's skipper Steven Pressley .
