Ryan Giggs Joins Up With Welsh Squad

United midfielder Ryan Giggs has joined up with the Welsh squad for their international friendly against Canada on Sunday. The left winger dropped out of Mark Hughes' squad for the mid-week visit to Norway, but looks certain to start at Wrexham's Racecourse this weekend.

Ryan Giggs has linked up with the Welsh squad for their friendly international against Canada at Wrexham's Racecourse ground on Sunday.

The United winger unsurprisingly pulled out of Mark Hughes' squad for Wales' friendly in Norway during the mid-week, supposedly with a knock sustained against Millwall in the F.A Cup final. However, Giggs looks certain to start against the North Americans on the weekend, in the first international game to be held in the north of the principality for 5 years.

Wales have suffered the expected large amount of drop-outs from the squad for Sunday, but Hughes has taken heart from the makeshift side that drew 0-0 in Norway. United's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer started that game, as previously reported by ManUtdWeb, with ex-Red Devil Henning Berg reaching his centenary of Norwegian caps.
