Carlos Queiroz has returned to Manchester United as Sir Alex Ferguson's right-hand with even more responsibilities that ever. The 51-year-old has confirmed he has returned to Old Trafford as Sir Alex Ferguson's right-hand man and also has first-option of Fergie's job if he were to leave.

that ever.
The former Real Madrid boss, who left his assistant manager post last summer to manage Real Madrid, was sacked by the Spanish giants for not living up to expectations set this season. Queiroz, 51, now has first-option over Fergie's current full-time manager job if the Scotsman were to leave Old Trafford. "It's practically a done deal." the Portuguese coach confirmed. "Manchester United's offer is not one to turn down. It's a long-term contract (expires June 2006) which puts me as favourite to become club manager." Queiroz has held talks over a possible move to London outfit Tottenham Hotspur to fill the vacant position of manager at White Hart Lane. |
