Heinze Completes £6 million Switch

Argentina international Gabriel Heinze has reportedly completed his £6 million transfer from French outfit PSG to Manchester United earlier today. The no-nonsense defender becomes Sir Alex Ferguson's second signing this summer, raising the transfer expenditure to £13 million.

reportedly completed his £6 million transfer from French outfit PSG to
Manchester United earlier today.
The no-nonsense defender becomes Sir Alex Ferguson's second signing this summer, raising the transfer expenditure to £13 million due to the signing of Alan Smith last month. "I have committed myself for the next five seasons with Manchester United. But I have loads of emotion about leaving PSG. I owe them a lot." said the versatile defender. "But my dream is coming true by joining Manchester United. I am going to keep working hard on the other side of the Channel." Heinze, 26, had an extremely successful season with PSG and was touted as one of the French League's best defenders. However, he is still bamboozled over what position he'll play at Old Trafford, having not yet spoken to Sir Alex Ferguson about it. ''I don't know whether it will be in central defence or left-back. All they said is that they wanted me.'''They have shown great motivation to snatch my services even though I did not talk directly with Sir Alex Ferguson.'' |
