Starlet Turns Down Old Trafford for Celtic

Glasgow Celtic have shrugged of competition from clubs including Manchester United and have signed Canadian starlet Jacob Lensky. The 15-year old missed out on a trial at Old Trafford due to a minor injury and instead put pen-to-paper on a three year deal at Parkhead.

Scottish champions Celtic have shrugged of
competition from clubs including Manchester United and have signed
Canadian starlet Jacob Lensky.
The 15-year old missed out on a trial at Old Trafford due to a minor injury and instead put pen-to-paper on a three year deal at Parkhead when he turns 16 in a few months time. "Although I've had opportunities to play with other teams, including Manchester United, Celtic emerged as my clear first choice." said Lensky "I loved my trial with Celtic and everything else about the club." he continued. "I can't officially be signed to a contract until I turn 16, which is on December 16." Celtic boss Martin O'Neill will consider this as retribution after United snapped up Liam Miller on a free transfer, who will join United on July 1st. |
