Stewart Given Trial at Rangers

Manchester United's forgotten midfielder Michael Stewart has been given a trial by Rangers boss Alex McLeish and will go on tour with the Scottish outfit to Austria in pre-season. Stewart's career was slipping downhill after his poor loan-spell at Nottingham Forest but has been given an escape rope.

Michael Stewart has been given a trial by Rangers boss Alex McLeish and
will go on tour with the Scottish outfit to Austria in pre-season.
Scotsman Stewart was on-loan at Nottingham Forest last season and was brought to the club by ex-boss Paul Hart but started only 11 times in a Forest jersey before being surplus to requirement since the arrival of Joe Kinnear. The 23-year old has failed to make an impression for Forest fans and players alike and didn't feature for Kinnear and had his loan deal terminated early The Scottish capped midfielder was linked with Ipswich Town earlier in the year and Burnley boss Stan Ternant hasn't been shy in expressing his admiration for the midfielder but now is set to join Glasgow Rangers. |
