Blackburn Rovers v. Manchester United - Preview

Graeme Souness' Blackburn outfit haven't made a very convincing start to the new season, picking up just one point after their draw with West Brom on the opening day of the campaign.

Souness is confident luck will prevail for the home-side as they look to get more points on the board. "Our football has been decent in the three matches so far, and maybe luck hasn't been with us," said the Scotsman

"We've Manchester United and then Newcastle away, so it's big guts time, but it's also a psychological thing."

Sir Alex Ferguson's Red Devils go into the game fresh out of a 3-0 victory over Dinamo Bucharest whilst on the other-hand Rovers go into the fixture of the back of a 3-0 defeat by the hands of Arsenal, who set a 42-unbeaten game record.

Blackburn's recent Scandinavian recruit Morten Gamst Pedersen, 22 and signed for £2.5 million, is likely to make his debut against the team he's supported since a young boy.

United were also chasing Pedersen after watching him play in a series of matches for his former club Tromso but gave up interest in the Norwegian. Meanwhile, Barry Ferguson retunes to Rovers' midfield.

American youngster Jonathan Spector is expected to retain a spot at left-back following an impressive display against Dinamo in midweek. Louis Saha may make a substitute appearance after proving fitness.
