Agent of Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, Luca Bascherini, has played down reports linking his client with a move to Manchester United, as papers claimed on Thursday morning. Cudicini has been left in the shadows by new boss at Stamford Bridge Jose Mourinho.

Cudicini, Luca Bascherini, has played down reports linking his client with
a move to Manchester United, as papers claimed on Thursday morning.
Cudicini has been left in the shadows by new boss at Stamford Bridge Jose Mourinho, preferring £7 million Czech Republic international Petr Cech in-between the sticks instead of the Italian. Italian agent Luca Bascherini said: "It's a pleasure for him to be linked with a big club like United but he's happy to stay and fight for his place." The sudden news of an array of goalkeeper being linked to Old Trafford comes after a series of basic goalkeeping blunders by United's Tim Howard. Howard cost The Red Devils a number of vital points in the Premiership early on and was dropped to make room for Roy Carroll in goals for the 2-1 win against Liverpool. Celtic's David Marshall and Norwich's Robert Green are the other goalkeepers who have apparently caught Sir Alex Ferguson's eye. |
