Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be keeping his eye on Bordeaux's Moroccan starlet Marouane Chamakh.

20-year old Chamakh can slot in an attacking midfield position or up-front and is highly-rated by his current club Bordeaux along with French football pundits.

The Moroccan has attracted interest from various clubs including French giants Paris Saint Germain and have confirmed the forward as a transfer target.

Chamakh sparked rave reviews in France following his premier season in the first team of Bordeaux, netting 7 times. He's also been capped at international level by his country, Morocco and featured in their Africa Cup of Nations campaign

Bordeaux wouldn't settle for less than around £6 million.
