I’m just mulling over whether to start him or put him on the bench – deciding what is fairest to him. Maybe putting him on the bench is the fairest thing to do. United Boss Sir Alex Ferguson isn't going to be taking the Turks lightly though but is confident his side will progress to the latter stages, saying: "Turkish football has produced good players and teams over the years."

"After nicking a point from Lyon, I reckon that we will progress if we maintain the good form we have shown in Europe over the last few years,"

Paul Scholes is definitely a casualty after picking up a groin injury. The Turks on the other hand have 2 casualties in Kemal Arslan and Servet Cetin.

Danger-men for Fenerbahce include forward Sanil Tuncay, Brazilian Alex and Holland international Pierre van Hooijdonk - who is afraid of United's array of attacking talent.  "Rooney and Ruud will be a dangerous combination, probably one of the best in the competition," said the former Celtic and Nottingham Forest star.
