Wolves Linked With Bojan Djordjic Swoop

Bojan Djordjic has been linked with a move to Football League Championship strugglers Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 22-year-old Swede is struggling to earn first-team recognition at Old Trafford and is thought to be favouring a move away from the F.A Cup winners.

Struggling Football League Championship outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a move for Manchester United winger Bojan Djordjic. The Swedish under-21 international is struggling to get first-team recognition at Old Trafford due to huge competition for places, and has previously stated that a move away from the F.A Cup winners could be his best option after Sir Alex Ferguson refused to offer the attacker a long-term contract.

The Red Devils training team speak highly of Djordjic and would be reluctant to see the 22-year-old leave. However, with world class names keeping the pacey midfielder out of first-team contention, it could be hard for United to block a move should Wolves boss Dave Jones make an approach to bring the player to Molineux.

Since moving to Old Trafford from Brommapojkarna, United have loaned the Swede out on several occasions in an attempt to get him some much needed first-team practice. Sheffield Wednesday, Aarhus and Red Star Belgrade have all spoke highly of the Yugoslavian-born player, but he still only has two senior appearances in the Manchester United jersey to his name.

Wolves have had a shocking start to the Football League campaign, with pressure mounting on Dave Jones to resign from his post. A 1-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest on Friday saw the Midlands club drop into the relegation zone after Saturday's results, but a successive relegation would be unthinkable for a club with big ambitions and a mammoth wage-bill.

The move to the Midlands would likely to be a permanent one, with Djordjic's contract expiring at the end of the season. Sir Alex Ferguson offered him a one-year extension, which the winger was not happy to sign as it did not give assurance of his footballing future. Wolves are not the club who have expressed interest in Djordjic, with Crystal Palace, Walsall, Norwich City and Scottish Premier Clubs all having been linked in the past.
