Defender Rio Ferdinand has stated that he and his Manchester United team-mates must be consistent if they have any chance of success this season. The England international also spoke out ahead of Sunday's clash with Arsenal, admitting United have to be at the top of their game.

Defender Rio Ferdinand has stated that he and his Manchester United team-mates must be consistent if they have any chance of success this season.

England international Ferdinand also said that The Red Devils have to be at their best if they have any chance of taking 3 points off current Premiership Champions and leaders Arsenal on Sunday.

"You can see the talent we've got in our squad when we go out on the training pitch every day and we've just got to put that together in a consistent manner," admitted Ferdinand.

"It's just down to consistency, we've got to get that in our game."

"To win titles and championships you have got to have that in your game. At the end of the season the most consistent team normally wins." he added

Speaking about Sunday's clash with Arsenal, the centre-back said: "I think Arsenal are a quality side and we are going to have to be at our best to win the game."
