Giuseppe Rossi has been voted the most promising young player coming up through the ranks at Manchester United, according to a recent poll conducted by ManUtdWeb. The Italian forward has been earning rave reviews with dazzling and skillful performances in the reserve and youth teams since his summer move from debt-ridden Parma in the summer. 17 year-old Rossi, who has represented Italy at U19 level, has excited the United faithful with the 2 vital things that makes football fans lick their lips - skill and the ability to score goals. Rossi has proved he can do both so far this campaign. Rossi shrugged off competition from
other promising youth including the likes of Chris Eagles, Phil Bardsley
and even Young Player of the Year Jonathan Spector. Poll Result (400 United
fans cast their vote) Giuseppe Rossi 32% Phil Bardsley 31% Jon Spector 13% Gerard Pique 8% Other 16% What do you make of Rossi? "He looks an exciting prospect. He is a box of tricks, a real bundle of energy. He doesn't look the tallest player, but he has a low centre of gravity and great control with both feet. When you have that low centre of gravity, you can get away from people quite quickly." - Former United player Arthur Albiston "A very exciting prospect for the future, looks like he could me a major player for us in the near and distant future" ManUtdWeb regular and United fan Scumpool "He Looks very promising. Can't see him break into the first team though as he will have to beat our magnificent four Saha, Ruud, Rooney and Smith yet. But hopefully he'll get his chance. He could be a star in 3 or 4 years."
