Spector Bagged On Loan?

West Bromwich Albion are believed to be interesting in bringing United youngster Jonathan Spector to the Midlands on loan. New Baggies boss Bryan Robson his hoping to exploit his relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson to bring the teenage American to the Hawthorns.

Struggling Premiership side West Bromwich Albion are rumoured to be interested in bringing Jonathan Spector to the Hawthorns. The Red Devils will want to keep hold of the American who looks a bright prospect for the future, but could see loaning out the youngster as an ideal opportunity to give him some vital experience, and in England's top flight to boot.

Bryan Robson has recently taken the helm with the Midlands outfit, and his Manchester United connections as a player will mean he has a special relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson. Robbo will hope he can persuade his former manager to loan him Spector to strengthen the Baggies' backline which has already leaked 24 goals this term.

Spector has only a handful of first-team appearances to his name, but has played a leading role in the reserve and youth teams indicating that he is a star for the future. The defender picked up the Jimmy Murphy Young Player Award last season but by the end of his career he is expected to have racked up a whole host of other honours.

The 18-year-old kicked off his career with Chicago Sockers in his homeland USA, but moved to Old Trafford after a successful trial period in Lancashire. He has made a total of 5 appearances for United, all this season, making appearances in the Community Shield, European Cup, Premiership and League Cup.
