Fulham v. Manchester United - Match Preview

Manchester United will be looking to capitalize fully on Arsenal and Chelsea's 2-2 draw when they make the journey to the re-vamped Craven Cottage with a mission to take the maximum 3 points off Chris Coleman's Fulham.

It's a Monday night kick off for this fixture to suit television coverage, something Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson has bemoans over recent years where the game has become increasingly more commercialized.

But nevertheless, these sort of games no matter what the date or timing are the sort that top sides must win if their to mount a serious race for the top-spot. A win would most certainly help United's quest for Premiership glory.

Chris Coleman's side have picked up 9 points from the past five games with impressive wins against Norwich, Newcastle and Tottenham. United have won their past 4 games against Southampton, West Brom, Charlton and Newcastle.

Both sides have their fair share of injury woes. Ruud van Nistelrooy and Wes Brown will not feature tomorrow with respective injuries whilst Fulham will have to do without Moritz Volz, Luis Boa Morte, Claus Jensen and Mark Crossley.

Regarding Dutchman Van Nistelrooy's injury, boss Sir Alex Ferguson said: "He never told us he had an injury but played one or two games with it and we had to keep taking him off,"

"We think he did it four or five weeks ago, maybe on an international break, but the worry is it hasn't gone away. You have to be careful with calf injuries because they can be a nightmare and creep down to the Achilles injury." he added.

Fulham boss Chris Coleman has admitted United are still a force not to be messed with and has insisted they will bounce back from their early-season setbacks. "They were written off at the start of the season, but in my mind you can never write off Man United when you look at the players they've got." said the Welshman.

He continued: "Sir Alex has brought in some very good young players and they're still a formidable force."

"But we had a good record against them last season - we beat them at Old Trafford and drew with them at home so there's nothing for us to be afraid of." he added.
