Ronaldo Sent on Holiday Break

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has been sent back to his home country Portugal to recharge his batteries during the festive period by Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ferguson has promised the midfielder a long break in order to avoid physical and mental burn-out, the treatment Ryan Giggs once received many years ago.

The 19-year old has been left out of a few games in recent weeks as part of the renovation programme that Ferguson often hands to his youngsters.

Ronaldo endured a tough summer playing and starring in both the European Championship, where Portugal came runners-up, and the Olympic games in Athens.
