"Chelsea Frustrating Us" - Scholes

Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has admitted that Chelsea's run of form that matches The Red Devils' is starting to annoy them as their hard work isn't paying off in the league.

Both United and Arsenal are eagerly awaiting Jose Mourinho's side to drop points in order to close the gap forming right at the top. United are 9 points behind the Blues and 5 points in front of the Gunners.

In form Scholes, who has recently found his goal-scoring form, admitted: "It is a bit frustrating we are still nine points behind Chelsea," 

He continued: "We thought if we won all our games over the Christmas period, as we have so far, we would chip away at their lead a little bit but it has not been the case."

"There are still plenty of games to go but I think we all accept it is going to be difficult to pull Chelsea back."

"The only thing we can do is look after our own results. Confidence is pretty high and if we keep plugging away, hopefully they will slip up."

Scholes recently retired from representing home-national England at international level to devote all his time at Old Trafford.
