Keane Ready to Play On

Manchester United skipper Roy Keane has denied that he is ready to retire and has vowed to stay on and do his job as a player for the Red Devils.

The 33-year old recently revealed that it would be a dream to play for his boyhood team, Glasgow Celtic, and has even stated that he will retire in the near future.

But, since returning to the Republic of Ireland squad, Keane has ditched his 'bad-boy' attitude in favour of a cooler and calmer role in United's midfield.

Irishman Keane has been in a rich vein of form and even bagged his 50th goal as a Red Devil against Birmingham in the league last week. Keane also earned rave reviews from his team-mates and claim he's the heart beat of the team.

"As long as I am providing something for the team and influencing them, I will carry on," he said.

"When the moment comes when I feel I am not doing that and I am falling below the standards set by this club, I will know it is time to call it a day. I know I am getting older and have had some bad injuries which take their toll. But right now, I feel fit and I feel good."
