As previously reported on ManUtdWeb, England trio Gary Neville, Wayne Rooney and Wes brown featured in England's lacklustre 0-0 draw with Holland at Villa Park. Rooney was replaced just after the hour mark whilst Neville and Brown competed the full ninety minutes.

There will be some tormenting in Carrington later this week as John O'Shea and Liam Miller's Republic of Ireland side beat Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal 1-0 at Lansdowne Road. Newcastle's Andy O'Brien bagged the important goal in the first half.

Meanwhile, Ryan Giggs missed Wales's impressive 2-0 victory against Hungary at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Giggs pulled out of John Toshack's squad at the eleventh hour.
