Van Nistelrooy On Track for Milan Return

Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has revealed that he could well return from injury in time for the Red Devils' Champions League clash with AC Milan on the 23rd of February.

The Dutchman has been out of action for two months with a calf problem that then progressed into a nasty Achilles injury, consequently missing out on key clashes with Arsenal and Liverpool.

Van Nistelrooy will return to full training next week after completing a training programme set by Old Trafford coaches. The striker stated: "I have made incredible progress and I feel as if I am ahead of schedule,"

He added: "I want to be back with the boys and join them in a match as soon as possible."

"That could well be in the Champions League against Milan"

"I have been away from United, now I am back and hungry to play again. I am grateful that the club let me go to Holland, I had complete trust in my physio."
