Ferguson Hails Promising Rossi

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has hailed 18-year-old striker Giuseppe Rossi, one of the brightest young Red Devils maturing through the ranks.

The Italian marksman was snapped up from cash-strapped Parma in the summer and has proven a big success in both Youth and Reserve teams, bagging 10 goals in 14 games for Ricky Sbragia's Reserve squad so far this term.

Rossi was born in New Jersey (USA) but later moved to Italy and now holds an Italian passport.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been highly critical of his academy recently, but found time to sing Rossi's praises. "Giuseppe Rossi is improving all the time" revealed Fergie "He has got a bright future ahead of him"

"He is probably the coolest player at the club in terms of his play around the penalty box. He has an absolutely wonderful temperament for a striker." he added.

A poll conducted by ManUtdWeb.com a few months ago resulted in Rossi being voted as 'the Most Promising United Youngster'
