Bellion Linked With Crystal Palace Switch

Manchester United striker David Bellion is being teed up by Crystal Palace boss Iain Dowie in an attempt to improve and vary his attacking options at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles have found the net just 33 times this season in the league and Dowie is looking for a more consistent and potent partner for hot-shot Andy Johnson, who has notched up 18 of those goals.

Dowie's scouts were reportedly present in the Red Devils' Reserve defeat at the hands of Stockport County, however Bellion outclassed his team-mates with a dazzling second half performance at Edgeley Park.

The Frenchman's chances of holding down a future place in Sir Alex Ferguson's side look increasingly slim with such strikers as Ruud van Nistelrooy, Wayne Rooney, Louis Saha and Alan Smith currently at Old Trafford.

Bellion has bagged just 8 goals in 40 appearances in a United jersey, mainly as a substitute, since his £3 million move from Sunderland.
