Bellion Remains Confident With Future

Manchester United striker David Bellion has admitted he will remain patient and work hard for his place in the Red Devils first-team following a string of games for the Reserves.

The forgotten Frenchman has seen little senior action over the past few weeks and faces and up-hill task of breaking into the squad and getting consistent action with the likes of Ruud van Nistelrooy, Louis Saha, Wayne Rooney and Alan Smith in-front of him in the pecking order.

Bellion has been the subject of a move to Premiership strugglers Crystal Palace lately, but still sees a future at Old Trafford. "We don't need the manager to say something to be confident, you need to work hard and be patient" stated the 22-year-old. "For the moment we have had one or two unlucky games in the first team but the team is still strong so we have to work hard and fight for our place"

The former Sunderland man is also happy with his spell in the second-string "You learn in the reserves and I'm happy to play,"

"As long as you play 90 minutes you have to show what you can do. When you are on the fringe of the first team you want to play well all the time. When you play not as good you get a bit upset"

"As long as the team wins, I'm happy. The team is first, the club is first and then I work on my situation."

Bellion also netted in United's 1-0 Reserve win over Blackpool as fellow countryman Louis Saha made a 60 minute return from injury.
