Smith "100 Percent Happy"

Manchester United striker Alan Smith has declared himself "100 Percent Happy" with life at Old Trafford, despite a lack of first-team opportunities as of late.

The former Leeds United star has fallen in and out of the England squad due to his inconsistent form and few chances handed to him by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

Aston Villa have been rumoured to set to launch an audacious bid for Smith in the summer but remains adamant he's a content Red Devils.

"I am 100 percent happy here, it's as simple as that," stated Smith.

"Every player wants to play football but everyone who comes to this club knows nobody is guaranteed a place.

"If your performances are not good enough you have to hold your hands up and let someone else have their chance.

"Maybe people outside the club don't realise that but those on the inside know it is about the squad. I am amongst a great set of lads and I am 100 percent happy."
