Carroll Wants Contract Talks

The agent of out-of-favour goalkeeper Roy Carroll has claimed that his client never stated he wouldn't ink a deal to stay at Old Trafford beyond the summer and is open to talks.

Sir Alex Ferguson will face a tough decision regarding what to do with the goalkeeping void this summer as transfer funds are low and both Carroll and Tim Howard have been under performing.

The Red Devils have been linked with England Number 1 Paul Robinson from Tottenham Hotspur as well as an array of other goalkeepers from across the globe.

However, Carroll's agent Francis Martin rebuffed all rumours linking the Ulsterman away from Manchester United. "He has never said that he wouldn't sign the deal"

"His priority all along has been to stay at United. For their part the club have never said that they had withdrawn the offer"
