Richardson Wants United Return

Manchester United winger Kieran Richardson has revealed he would like a return to Old Trafford despite dazzling for West Bromwich Albion in a recent loan spell, helping the midlands club avoid relegation.

Richardson has impressed so much he's been placed on stand-by to Sven Goran Eriksson's England squad that will travel the USA this summer.

However, the 20-year-old wants an indication if he has a future as a Red Devil. "I want to speak to Sir Alex and see what is going on with Manchester United. If he wants me to stay there, I think I'll be staying at Manchester United next season," he said.

"We'll see what the gaffer has got to say and then we'll go from there. I want to stay at United and hopefully I can break into the team more regularly and my spell at West Brom might help me to do that more.

"I love Manchester United. I moved there when I was 15. I want to be a Manchester United player but I owe a lot to West Brom.

"Obviously if things weren't going well for me at United, then hopefully West Brom would want me back but, like I said, I want to be a Manchester United player."

Baggies boss Bryan Robson brought Richardson to the Hawthorns in the winter transfer window and nobody expected the impact he later went on to make.

Richardson paid homage to Robson for helping him find his potential. "Bryan Robson has been great. He took a massive gamble bringing me here. I hadn't got a lot of experience and he has been superb for me," he added.

"He has helped me a lot in training and with his advice. He is a great man and has done wonders for me and the club."
