The 2004/2005 football season has now ended for Manchester United Football Club and it's been an eventful and disappointing term to say the least. But, that's all history now and ManUtdWeb are looking to the future.

The 2004/2005 football season has now ended for Manchester United Football Club and it's been an eventful and disappointing term to say the least. The Red Devils have nothing to show for their 2004/2005 season, finishing 3rd in the Premiership and missing out on a 12th F.A Cup Trophy at the expense of arch-rivals Arsenal. Jose Mourinho's Chelsea were the deserved winners of the Premier League following a phenomenal season. The Blues have it all to lose next season however as they prepare to shun competition from both Arsenal and United. A European campaign couldn't salvage United's League form as AC Milan knocked Sir Alex Ferguson's side out of the competition in just the second round. But, that's all history now and ManUtdWeb are looking to the future. Here is a list of the events, announced to date, United will participate in during the summer. Clyde vs. Manchester United XI - July 16th Clyde have announced they will play hosts to Manchester United in a pre-season friendly Saturday, July 16. The fixture will mark the 50th anniversary of Clyde's triumph over the Red Devils in an unofficial British Championship, season 1954/55. The Scottish outfit defeated United 4-1 on that day.Peterborough vs. Manchester United XI - July 19th United will take part in and Barry Fry's testimonial match against Peterborough July 19th to commemorate Fry's 31 years in football management. of Asia 2005 - HK
National XI vs. Manchester United - 23rd July In an attempt to boost popularity in the Asian continent, United face Japanese outfit Kashima Antlers on July 28th, the HK National XI and Beijing Hyundai. Interest in United across Asia has dipped recently with the shift of dominance in England. Tour of Asia 2005 - Urawa Reds vs. Manchester United - July 30th United continue their tour with a game against Urawa Red Diamonds on July 30th. The Red Devils promised to play Urawa following their cancellation of a game scheduled for the Vodafone Tournament last season. The game had to be called off due to adverse weather conditions. |
