Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed he will be taking a strong squad to Asia as the Red Devils look to conquer their Asian market.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has reiterated his intentions to stay at Old Trafford despite tempting links to La Liga giants Barcelona and Real

United's faithful in the USA were bitterly disappointed to see a more or less Reserve team face the likes of Bayern Munich in the States last year and look to make a better impression on fans in the Asian continent.

"We are committed to bringing our top players over there." said the Scotsman. "All of us at Manchester United are aware of the importance of recognizing and rewarding all our loyal fans in Asia.

"Our preparations for next season have probably never been as vital, and we will use every single pre-season match we play to the fullest.

"The players are looking forward to coming and it will be grand occasion for everyone."

Edwin van der Sar will make his first appearance in a United jersey over there, probably in the opening game in Hong Kong. Chinese striker Dong Fangzhuo, on loan at Antwerp, will also be involved in the tour.
