Ricardo Pens Osasuna Deal

Ricardo has penned a two year contract with La Liga outfit Osasuna after being surplus to requirements at Manchester United. The 33-year-old always claimed he was good enough for the Red Devils.

The Spanish goalkeeper, 33, endured a torrid time at Old Trafford, hardly getting a sniff of first-team action as a Red Devil but looks to revive his career with Osasuna.

"A good keeper like Richard Sanzol is leaving but we are getting a good goalkeeper and a great guy in Ricardo," said the club's sporting director Juan Jose Lorenzo.

The Pamplona club finished 15th in La Liga last season and conceded a massive 65 goals, the most in the league. They will also be participating in the Uefa Cup next season after losing in the final of the King's Cup at the hands of Betis.

Ricardo joins former team-mate and fellow goalkeeper Roy Carroll, who was also released a few weeks ago, in joining a new team.
