Deportivo la Coruna star Jorge Andrade has issued a 'come and get me' plea to Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who he dubs as a legend to the game.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has reiterated his intentions to stay at Old Trafford despite tempting links to La Liga giants Barcelona and Real

Andrade, who has been linked with both the Red Devils and Newcastle United in the past, says it would be a dream to play in the Premiership - especially under the guidance of Ferguson.

With United on the look-out for a new defender, Andrade could fit the bill as Rio Ferdinand looks to a more permanent partner in defence.

"I have a proposition from Newcastle via my club but my preferred English club is Manchester United," said the 27 year-old Portuguese international.

"To that club I would go with my eyes closed because it represents everything a player dreams about.

"To play for a legend like Sir Alex Ferguson must be something special.

"English football is famous for being hard but I have played against several clubs and the England team and always I have left alive and played well."
