Keane & Brown to Make Asia Trip

Despite reports claiming Roy Keane and Wes Brown are set to miss Manchester United's forthcoming tour of Asia, Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that there is a chance the injured duo can make the trip.

Gabriel Heinze, who recently won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award, will miss out on the trip however to the Far East following rigorous international action for Argentina in the Confederations Cup.

"They have every chance of going on the tour," the Scotsman stated. "I'm hoping they will both be back in training next week. Therefore, if they are fit they will travel. At this moment in time it's quite positive."

Skipper Keane picked up a hamstring injury while Wes Brown has been struggling with an Achilles tendon problem. "Wes felt that his Achilles tendon was quite tender. Hard grounds in the summer do that. He is back in light training doing jogging," he added.

"We will be making a decision on Tuesday or Wednesday, but at the moment it is quite positive."

United face the Hong Kong national team in Hong Kong on July 23rd then face Kashima Antlers and Urawa Reds, both of Japan.
