Ferguson: Solskjaer Ready for New Season

Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be fit in time for the big kick-off, according to manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Norwegian could even make the 16-man squad who face Everton on the opening day of the Premiership season on August 13th after finally recovering from a knee injury.

The 32-year-old has been out of action for 2 years and is eager to re-commence his glittering career as a Red Devil.

Sir Alex Ferguson fans are likely to see the forward back in action soon, dampening speculation United are set to land Michael Owen from Real Madrid.

"Ole just felt his knee again recently, but it was a different part and now the swelling has gone down," revealed the Scotsman.

"He is now back in training and, you never know, maybe he could be fit for the start of the season."
