South Korean wonderkid Park Chu-young has revealed that the whole of South Korea are keeping a close eye on Park Ji-sung, who made two impressive appearances so far in a United jersey.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has reiterated his intentions to stay at Old Trafford despite tempting links to La Liga giants Barcelona and Real

Chu-young, who has played with the former PSV Eindhoven midfielder, claims Park is an idol and mentor to all South Koreans and gives them the confidence to conquer Europe.

Park made his competitive debut against Debrecen as a substitute last week before stepping up for his first United start in the 2-0 Everton victory.

"I saw him on TV and he played so well," said the 20-year-old FC Seoul striker.

"All Korean players are proud of the fact that he is playing in the best league and it gives us all confidence."

South Korea are battling it out with Saudi Arabia for top spot in Group A of the Asian World Cup Qualifying section, trailing by just a single point.
