Bellion Seals West Ham Loan

Manchester United forward David Bellion has signed for West Ham on a year-long loan deal to bolster Alan Pardew's attacking options.

Bellion is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford with the attacking prowess of Wayne Rooney, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Louis Saha and the promising Giuseppe Rossi.

The former Sunderland front-man, 22, aims to proove his worth while on loan at Upton Park. Agent Mike Morris said: "David has signed a one-year loan deal with West Ham. It is not with a view to a permanent deal as he will go back to Manchester United at the end of the season.

"Sir Alex Ferguson just wants him to go out and get regular football and get some Premiership experience," he added. "He is currently recovering from injury, but David is confident he will be fit to return to action in three weeks.

"David is looking forward to joining up with West Ham as he wants to be playing regularly and this is a good chance for him."

The Frenchman will link up for former Red Devil Teddy Sheringham as the Premiership new boys aim to avoid relegation.
