Manchester United reserve-team duo Colin Heath and Tom Heaton look set to join Swindon Town. Robins boss Andy King has expressed his admiration for the youngsters who he scouted in the recent 3-0 reserve victory over Bolton Wanderers.

Swindon Town boss Andy King has confirmed his interest in Manchester United duo Colin Heath and Tom Heaton. King was impressed with both players in United's recent 3-0 reserve team victory over Bolton Wanderers and wants to bring the pair to the County Ground.

Heath netted a brace as United's second-string cruised to a victory over the Trotters whilst goalkeeper Heaton did his well-rated reputation no harm with a clean sheet. Both players are unlikely to enjoy first-team football this season and would relish a move to Swindon, promotion hopefuls from Football League One.

"The deal is not done yet," said King. "I am waiting to speak to Sir Alex Ferguson tomorrow morning and will know more then.

"Colin Heath is someone that I have been a fan of for a while I drove up to Leyland and watched United's Reserves on Monday night and Heath scored two there.

Both players have trained with Swindon during the week and the deal is likely to be completed within the next few days. At 21-years-old, it is looking increasingly unlikely that Colin Heath will ever make United's first-team will make him even more eager to please in the West Country whilst the signing of Ben Foster from Stoke City will hamper the progress of Heaton at Manchester United.
