Jon Obi Mikel Update

The dullest transfer tug-of-war in history continues with Jon Obi Mikel's agent is adamant that his client never agreed to sign with Manchester United, despite reportedly penning an agreement at Old Trafford a few months ago.
The Red Devils are supposedly set to seal the
services of the talented Nigerian when the transfer window opens in January, but
Chelsea made an approach and the forward wants to play under Jose Mourinho for a
larger wage.
Agent John Shittu stated: "The only thing I can say to you is he never said he's going to Manchester United. He never said that to anybody so if Lyn are saying that to you, I don't know where they got that from.
"When we spoke yesterday over dinner, he reiterated the same thing - he doesn't want to go to Manchester United.
He has to decide, it's not for me to decide for him. I'm just there for him as his agent.
"I believe things will be sorted very soon. Maybe some of the parties involved want to prolong it but we're not interested in that; we're only interested in the player.
The player's reiterated so many times that he doesn't want to join Manchester United. I, personally, want to make sure what he wants is what happens."
My advice is to take everything with a pinch of salt until something has officially happened!
