Agent: Ruud Wants Spanish Move

Rodger Linse, the agent of Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, has revealed his client is itching to play in La Liga before he decides to hang up his boots.

Van Nistelrooy, who's candidly admitted his desire to join Barcelona's great Dutch legion before he finishes his playing days, was heavily linked with a move out of Old Trafford last season following blunt performances but has had no trouble finding the net so far this term.

The Holland international striker has bagged 9 goals in all competitions as well as being a vital clog in his national side's quest to qualify for the World Cup.

Linse was recently quoted: "It's possible that things are going to happen next summer but that's all I will say for the moment.

"If I say more, I will not be able to keep the English and Spanish press off my back. But at this stage I don't want to lie about it either.

"Ruud does wish to play in Spain. It is not a case of 'must', more an urge. When he has the chance, he could move there. And I would love to see him play his football there, too."
