Heinze Positive Regarding Injury

Manchester United's Player of the Year Gabriel Heinze has taken a positive outlook on a career-threatening injury he suffered one month ago.

The 27-year-old, who endured a cruciate ligament injury against Villarreal a month ago, claims the injury has made him realize many fans and players are wishing him their best while he recuperates in time for a come-back next season.

"The injury has demonstrated that people love me," said Heinze.

"My United team-mates were very worried and that has given me enormous happiness during a difficult period."

"They say injuries always come at the worst times. I had to work hard to get to the level I had reached. But the operation went as well as was expected and now I have to put all my energies into recovering."

Regarding how he picked up the injury, he added: "I'm not angry about it. I've committed harder tackles. I've taken what seemed like worse knocks.

"I'm a feisty player and I've been in risky situations where nothing has happened. God wanted this to take place.
