Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a two-year extension to his current contract at Old Trafford. The 19-year-old, who has been with United for the past two seasons, has been subject to speculation linking him with a move across the continent.

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has ended speculation about his future by signing a two-year extension to his current Red Devils contract.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and even Dynamo Moscow have all been linked with a move for the 20-year-old's services in recent weeks. However, the Portuguese international has now penned a new deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2010.

"I am very happy and proud to finally put a deal on paper. It is important for the development of my career." said the former Sporting Lisbon star, who signed for United little over two years ago for an astonishing fee of £12.5million.

Ronaldo has already established himself as a key part of United's starting XI, and has racked up 29 caps for his country in the process.
