A dissappointing performance will be overshadowed by a horrific injury sustained by Alan Smith as United crash 1-0 to bitter rivals Liverpool in the fifth round of the F.A Cup. The Yorkshireman looks set for a long spell on the sidelines, whilst Sir Alex Ferguson's men suffer another failure.
