Drewe Going ? (news update)

Wednesday 11th June is D Day for Drewe. WIll the big man, stay or depart down to Essex ? According to some media reports he's on his way.

NEWS UPDATE (10/6/03)
Tomorrow (Wednesday 11/6/03) is D Day for frontman Drewe Broughton, who has been approached by Southend United. Its is reported however, on BBC teletext, who in turn name BBC Essex as their source, that Drewe will be joining the Shrimpers. Their comment is that a deal is close. So it looks like Broughton will be off.
Is this bad news though ? Well lets wait and see who comes in. it is well known that Drewe was one of the highest wage earners so maybe Britt can bring in at least one replacement. My rumour mill tells me that we can expect some new signings and the departure of Drewe will only further aid this. I will update this if the Beeb are correct and Drewe is Essex bound.
The only other Kidder related news is on former favourite Mark Marsh. The former Liverpool star has taken up the Assistant Managers post at Southern League Nuneaton Borough. He has now retired (again!) and will hope to get Boro back into the Conference at the first attempt. He was, of course, linked to the vacant post here, when Jan left, but carried on playing, helping Accrington Stanley into the Conference last season. JJJ wish him all the best.
