Tomorrow, the 2nd of July, sees Harriers players return for pre season training. No other new signings yet, but another Wolf cub joins on trial.

BACK TO IT TOMORROW
Well tomorrows the day, as Kidderminster Harriers players return after the pre season break. Manager Ian Britton has promised the players a typical rigorous training schedule according to reports and as per usual the much celebrated swimming sessions. Britt has still to add to his squad although another former Wolf cub is to join pre season training. According to the official website and Express and Star, young Irish Midfielder Graham Ward is to join up for training. The youngster, recently released by Wolves, is an Ireland under 20 international. He will join up with former Molinuex team mate and fellow Irishman, Kenny Coleman, as they both try to win a contract. According to the official site, there could be up to six trialists with Harriers for pre season.
So when will we get those extra players, after all, we’ve only got 14 players registered at the moment. Tony Barras is one target, although he is also wanted by Notts County and Hartlepool. Maybe if he’s Midlands based it might help, although Notts County is certainly within range to commute. Speaking of the Saddlers, it is rumoured that we could get Andy Bishop on loan again. So who else is coming ? Many names have been mentioned in the rumour mill, Jimmy Cox, a striker from Gloucester City, Gary Birch, a target last season, again from Walsall, who has yet to agree a contract at Bescott. Another name to be mentioned is former West Bromwich Albion striker, Bob Taylor, who has been released from the Hawthorns. So for the next few weeks, we’ll just have to be patient.
Many players are out there and available. I would imagine many are mulling over a few offers, and with money so tight, you cant blame them. The days of inflated wages at Football League level are now gone unfortunately. Only in the top half of the Premiership can players be in strong positions. Some say they’ve brought it on themselves, which I suppose is true to some point. Many say that their overpaid, which is true, but so are many others. Politicians, so called fat cat bosses are two good examples, but my favourites are Local Councillors, who if they actually claim any salary, then all footballers should be given a rise over night.
