Harriers completed a comfortable win over Woking to reach the FA Cup 3rd round for only the 2nd time in their history.The draw is tomorrow, and lets hope for a big name and game.

WOKING 0 HARRIERS 3 (BREIF REPORT)
So what a fantastic result, superb, and we are in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, dreamland, truly brilliant.
In fairness I did fancy our chances today, and I did predict a win for us, but I didn’t expect the convincing 3-0 scoreline we got. I felt that Woking were favourites, with them being 7th in the Conference and with a good FA Cup pedigree and given our League position and poor FA Cup record, plus the fact that they had only lost once at home this season.
Harriers, with Stamps back in defence started well, and Dean Bennett gave us a dream start on 6 minutes. Gadesby put Deano thorough and he fired under the big Woking keeper. At this stage, I still felt we had a lot to do, and did expect a strong Woking fightback. However, this never really materialised, with most of the play being scrappy. Woking’s big lads did cause our defence some problems but they never really got site of goal. Harriers did have a good spell going into the interval. Andy White shot wide, when presented with a difficult one on one with the keeper, from an angle. Then Kidder had a free kick, when Gadsby was tripped, when you could argue that he was clean through on goal, the ref only booked the Cards defender. Steve Burton shot the free kick into the wall and Deano’s follow up was also blocked. The ref finally blew for half time at around 4.00pm, this due to the kick off being delayed by 15 mins due to congestion.
So into the 2nd half, and the general feeling amongst the Kidder faithfull was that a 2nd goal was desperately required, as a Woking comeback was expected. Again, The Cards surprisingly seemed to be subdued and still failed to really threaten the Harriers goal, with most shots being easy for Brock to deal with. Harriers were battling hard and did get the 2nd on 64 minutes, and it was the “black eyed” Dean Bennett who netted his 2nd. Deano burst through into the area and got aone on one with the keeper, who saved his 1st effort but could do nothing as Harriers no 7 netted the rebound. The game now seemed safe for Harriers, but only a quick thought back to last weeks game at Boston would suggest anything could happen. The final goal arrived with just over 15 minutes to go. Sam Shilton, on for John Williams, whipped over an inviting cross which eluded the hat trick seeking Bennett, but didn’t elude Steve Burton, who coolly slotted home from close range.
From then on it was a case of seeing out time. There were a few moments, not threatening in goal terms, more in security terms, as both sides endured a couple of rash challenges and squabbles. But Harriers held out comfortably to get into round three. Ironically, it was Woking who Harriers beat to get to round 3 last time, 10 years ago.
So tomorrow afternoon, don’t forget, around 3.00pm, just after watching Burton(&Adam Willis) take on Hartlepool, it’s the 3rd round draw. Who do you want Kiddy to play? Why not have a vote on our poll ? Personally, I want a money spinner, but I hope and prey that we avoid a fellow 3rd division team, I just want a big game.
