Harriers travel to the seaside tomorrow for a crucial relegation battle. Due to Valentines Day, I wont be going, but it would be "lovely" if Harriers could win and then claim another 15 points, then we'd be safe!

Sall back for Southend visit (?)

Harriers should welcome back former defender Abdou Sall for tomorrows relegation battle at Roots Hall. According to the Express & Star the Senegalese defender has agreed non contract terms with Harriers. It is expected that Sall with go straight into the side in place of the suspended Wayne Hatswell. The Kidder skipper misses the one game after incurring five bookings so far this season. Also missing are the usual suspects, Kenny Coleman (stomach), Adam Willis (whiplash , the car kind, not the kinky kind!) and Lee Jenkins (knee).

There is much speculation of more player movement in and out at Harriers at the moment. Obviously I will not add to the speculation until official announcements are made and to be honest I don’t really know anything other than movement is predicted. I will update if anything happens. Some may moan but one must see that perhaps new personnel are required. In bringing in new blood, perhaps some crowd favourites will depart ?

So here’s hoping that Harriers can get something out of tomorrows game and Harriers boss has been quoted as saying that avoiding defeat is important. I suppose a draw is better than nothing but I would like us to get going and get ourselves out of trouble. Looking back prior to the Wolves game, we had just beaten Bristol Rovers and were 14th. This was our last win and we have yet to win this year. Its all very depressing at the moment but think of one thing. We are simply 6 wins from safety (50 points again!). if I was Jan (and I’m not !) I would get the players to focus on this. Forget the league table, just think of 16 games left and those elusive 6 wins, or 18 points.

So good luck tomorrow lads, and lets hope we can get something. Unfortunately I shall not be making the trip down the coast. However, as always, my thoughts will be with the lads and teletext will take a bashing, even though its Valentines Day. Lets hope we can have a footballing massacre, by way of picking up our 1st win of 2004.
