Burton signing

Kidderminster Harriers today announced that left back Steve Burton has signed up. The former Hull defender signed a two year deal today.

It was announced on the official sitehttp://www.harriers.co.uk that Steve Burton has now accepted Harriers offer of a two year contract. Burton is now in a way now about to start his 3rd spell at Harriers, all in less than 12 months. THe young left back joined Harriers on loan in October, becoming Jan's 1st loan signing on his return. He filled in for the injured Scott Stamps in a 2 month spell and also played in midfield on a couple of occasions. He scored his 1st and so far only goal for Kidder in the 3-0 win in the FA Cup at Woking.

Shortly after that Molby allowed Steve to return to Hull City, his home town club. Steve was unable to command a regular berth back at the KC and was released on transfer deadline day. Molby then brought him in on a short term deal until the end of the 2003/4 season. Burton soon replaced Scott Stamps at left back and the long serving Stamps was released at the end of the season. Molby then offered Steve a 2 year deal at Aggborough which was signed today. The Jumpjet Journal wished Steve all the best and a long, happy and succesful time at Aggborough.

There is still no other news on signings or the future of Craig Hinton. Hinton has been offered a 2 year deal but has yet to sign it, with Kidder boss Molby saying that Craig has until early July to make his mind up. There are rumours that he has been approached by both Shrewsbury and Bristol Rovers.

Harriers are yet to announce next seasons main sponsor although an announcement is probably due withing the next week or so. Of course Kidder will be supplied by Nike next season and there will be both a new home and away shirt. A limited range of leisurewear is now in the club shop.
