Kopites To Sign Boumsong?

HIGHLY-rated Auxerre defender Jean-Alain Boumsong is claiming that he has been contacted by both Liverpool and French club Marseille.

Boumsong is currently with the French national squad training for the forthcoming Confederations Cup.

When asked by L'Eqiupe if he had been in contact with any club he said: "I would be lying if I said I had not, notably with Marseille and Liverpool.

"But perhaps I won't be going there. You can have hundreds of contacts but with no transfer at the end."

Asked if he felt he would still be with the Coupe de France winners next year, the 23-year-old added: "I will start pre-season training with Auxerre if necessary. I am not staying by my phone. But things can still change."
