Leeds United and Aston Villa have agreed a transfer fee for young shot-stopper Paul Robinson.

Leeds United and Aston Villa have agreed a fee for England international Paul Robinson.

The only thing Aston Villa need to do now is agree personal terms with the Leeds shot-stopper, and the player belongs to them.

Aston Villa boss David O’Leary said: “Paul wants to join me – he knows how I work and we get on well together. It also says to the fans is we’re trying to build a new team here and to put the club back where it belongs in the top six.”

David also added: “We need young players and not quick fixes – who are going to be Villa people for a long time.”

We will keep you posted on this transfer over the next few days.
