Marc Vivien Foe dies while on international dutie

Marc Viven Foe has died at the age of 28. Foe collapsed during Cameroon's 1-0 victory over Columbia in the Confederations cup. Marc died 20 minutes later in hospital after a suspected heart attack.

Before France's game with Turkey the match held a minutes silence for the Manchester City player and a few players where in tears including Arsenal's Thierry Henry. Thierry also dedicated his goal against Turkey to Foe and all the players celbrated Henrys goal by pointing to heaven. France Kepper Gergery Coupet was one of Foes best friends and he also was in tears during the game. Coupet was Foe's team mate while he was at Lyon.

A whole load of football heros have paid tribute to Foe, including Harry Redknap who was the person who brought Marc into the Premiership while he was at West Ham.

Harry also clamimed he was trying to sign Marc for Premiership new boys Portsmouth.

Joseph Blatter the president of Fifa has also paid Tributes to the striker, but he has said the Final of the Confederations Cup on Sunday will go ahead agaisnt France.

Liverpool's Steven Gerrard has paid his tributes and has said Marc was one of his freinds outside Liverpool, "Marc was a perfect Gentleman, if you ever wanted to have a laugh you would turn to Marc" he also said, "I am going to miss Marc alot and he is a great loss to the Football world."

Everybody at Machester City FC have paid tribute and have decided to retire the number 23 shirt which was Foe's number while he was at Manchester City on loan last season. Foe will always be remembered at Manchester City because Marc was the last ever Manchester City player to score a goal at Main Road.
